Red and White Award

The award which represents the highest level of athletic achievement at Naperville Central is the Red and White Award. This award is presented to a varsity athlete in each sport in honor of former athletic team manager, Tom Hoesch. Outstanding athletic ability is not the sole determinant of this award. However, the recipient should demonstrate the qualities of spirit, loyalty to team and determination to succeed that Tom possessed. The red portion of the award bears tribute to an athlete’s courage in the face of adversity, hard work and dedication. The white portion of the award typifies an individual’s pure character and spirit.
